Introduction
MONITOR: We find that as you become more sophisticated in your awareness and skills relating to your (Mental and Astral) Judge Selves, you find keys to resolving conflicts and improving the harmony of your beings. What you are exploring, in your personal lives, demonstrates a way for personalities throughout the planet to achieve, stage by stage, resolution of the conflicts of humanity and creation of harmony among all beings of the planet. Judge Self dynamics therefore become highly significant.
What we may share will only provide an outline of all that may be learned and utilized, yet we invite each of you to conduct your own inquiry into your own Judge Self dynamics. Most persons remain too frightened to undertake such an inquiry. They prefer to remain in the standard mode of denial and avoidance which characterizes most cultures. However, in the midst of all cultures on the planet at this time, individuals are responding to the energetic stimulus of their Souls and High Selves. That stimulus moves individuals to experience greater enlightenment and the confusion and conflict that enlightenment brings initially.
Judge Selves’ Reaction to Enlightenment
When your chakra system and bodies are filled with the energies of enlightenment from the higher planes of existence, your Judge Selves react, often in fear. When you gain what you are seeking in terms of spiritual connection and support, your Judge Selves recoil and seek disconnection as a means of resolving what they perceive as a threat to their existence.
This dynamic is noticed as individuals undertake the spiritual path. They may at first naively assume that following the spiritual path will bring them Love, Light and peace. Ultimately it will, yet when they encounter forces of alienation and conflict within their own personalities, many persons abandon the spiritual path and seek a path of safety which normally leads them into systems of organized denial and avoidance of fear and pain. When people make that choice, they make themselves vulnerable to the fears, pains and negative dynamics of their Judge Selves.
Understanding the Position of a Judge Self
Put yourself in the position of a Judge Self residing in a human personality which is undecided about pursuing the spiritual path. As a Judge Self, you are isolated and excluded from most of the personality’s decisions. The Outer Self of the personality does not know that you exist. He or she makes plans with no thought of your welfare. His or her goals totally exclude your interests. Then, when your situation is made even worse by the introduction of illumination from higher planes of consciousness which enter the chakra system and bodies, forcing you away from your normal place of comfort, what do you do?
Retreat to Lower Chakras
A Judge Self normally reacts first in fear. It retreats, seeking safety above all else. It retreats into a peripheral part of the personality, as far away as possible from the spiritual illumination that has been brought into the chakra system and bodies. In terms of chakras, this means that a Judge Self moves into or between the lower (Solar Plexus, Sacral or Root) chakras.
Retreat to Least Illuminated Part of Bodies
In terms of bodies, a Mental Judge Self is limited to the mental body, yet will move into an area as isolated from the illuminated thought forms as possible.
An Astral Judge is limited to the astral body and will move into a part of the astral body as far removed as possible from the illuminated areas of astral energy.
Retaliation of Judge Selves against Personality
Mental Judge: Deception
Once a Judge Self has regained a sense of safety and isolation, it grows restive. It may be motivated by curiosity, boredom or desperation to move outward from its place of hiding in the shadows and commit acts of aggression against the rest of the personality. A Mental Judge Self attacks the most vulnerable Basic Self, giving it illusions and false impressions, normally about [the Basic Self it preys upon]. It often causes a Basic Self to feel inadequate and flawed in its make-up.
Astral Judge: Blunt power
The Astral Judge Self attacks through the chakra system and astral body. It may choose one particular Self or attack several Selves at the same time. It operates primarily through an aggressive thrust of astral energy. The Outer Self may experience that thrust as a sudden overwhelming urge, impulse or sense of negative emotion.
Where the Mental Judge uses exquisite skill in using ideas for deception and manipulation, the Astral Judge often moves with blunt power. In either event, the Judge Self seeks a sense of personal empowerment by taking aggressive action. Once it attains a sense of empowerment, it may be relieved of some of its fear, anger and hatred. Then, it may be more amenable to communication with the Outer Self.
Fruit of Communication with the Judge Selves
What can the Outer Self hope to accomplish in talking with the Judge Self through methods such as inner dialogue, guided imagery and dramatization?
The Outer Self may first hope to extend an act of good will to a Judge Self. The Outer Self has nothing to lose in extending the hand of friendship. If the Outer Self is too frightened of the Judge Self or views it as a spiteful enemy, the Outer Self may decide not to extend an offer of friendship, yet such a choice only aggravates the alienation and conflict in the personality. Judge Selves, who are faced with a reluctant Outer Self, have little alternatives but to act more aggressively.
Risks of Not Communicating
An aggressive Judge Self may disrupt physical health, cause emotional turmoil, and create aberrant thoughts in a personality. Many persons who are physically ill, emotionally troubled and mentally disturbed are experiencing the aggression of their Judge Selves. Such persons have need of external assistance to bring about a greater state of communication with the Judge Selves which offers opportunity for resolving frustrations and conflicts.
Reaction to Offer of Friendship
When a Judge Self considers an offer of friendship from the Outer Self, it experiences ambivalent reactions. On one hand it remembers its dear friendships and loves of its distant past in a world lost. On the other hand, it remembers its pain associated with the loss. Often that pain becomes overwhelming, and instead of accepting the offer of friendship, it retreats. Yet the offer has produced desirable results. The Judge Self, when next approached (during a subsequent expression of Good Will for friendship), may be able to move past its pain and take tentative steps to accept the offer.
Resolution as Evolution
With patience and persistence, the Outer Self can befriend even the most recalcitrant Judge Self. This we state as a fact, because such an important step has been assured by the Spiritual Hierarchy as an essential turning point in the plan of evolution for each personality.
The plan of evolution calls for resolution of conflict in each personality and discovery of true kinship, first among the elements of the personality and then among personalities. Inner development precedes outer development. As isolated individuals achieve friendship with their Judge Selves, whether they use this terminology or not, they create a powerful force of transformation for others. Each Judge Self who achieves friendship, safety, Love and contact with the Soul, becomes a radiant force, demonstrating to other Judge Selves what they can achieve.
Judge Selves in History
Most of human history has seen the development of Basic Selves, the masculine and feminine forces of the personality that form the basis for achieving spiritual mastery and union of the personality with the Soul.
The past four hundred years have been devoted by the Hierarchy to the next step of evolution in the personality, the evolution of Judge Selves. Their actions have become increasingly understood as human beings attain greater powers of mind and move through intellect to intuitive understanding. With intuitive understanding, the actions of Judge Selves may be comprehended, and sufficient patience developed to befriend them.
As yet, only a small percentage of the human population has attained such accomplishments, yet the process proceeds in a geometric progression. The coming years will be filled with abundant change—at times apparently overwhelming change—yet those individuals who invest in self-knowledge will gain the ability to achieve self-enlightenment.
We believe that we have summarized the situation and are now ready for discussion and questions.
Questions and Answers
Q1: Judge Selves and Litigation
SHARRILL: Monitor, in working with the Judge Selves in the situation of litigation, is it helpful to work with your Astral Judge Self and the Astral Judge Self of the plaintiff?
MONITOR: Yes. However, in most situations it proves more productive to work with the Mental Judges of those involved. Astral Judge;s may provide the negative impulse for litigation, yet Mental Judges will be involved in the formulation of strategy and tactics. Thus, the entire legal arena revolves around Mental Judge Self dynamics.
EXERCISE: Golden Light of Grace
The Astral Judge Selves of those involved may be eased through the use of the Golden Light of Grace, yet that Light may also, in a few words, be extended to include the Mental Judge Selves. We advise that as a productive approach.
In invoking the Golden Light of Grace, the invoker does not infringe upon the free will of those receiving the illumination. They are free to use their wills within the Golden Light, yet it will erase negative patterns of thought, feeling and behavior. Using the Golden Light as a method of healing in matters of litigation represents, in our opinion, the best choice.
Have we addressed your question?
SHARRILL: Yes. Thank you.
Q2: Experience in Peru Reduced Fears
JUDITH: Monitor, several weeks ago I was in Peru. I had one afternoon on Machu Picchu, where I was able to spend several hours meditating on a wonderful rock. During that experience I checked-in with my Inner Selves and felt a great sense of harmony and mellowness on the part of both of my Judges. Am I correct in having had that feeling about them? Also, since returning, I’m finding that the things that used to frighten me, overwhelm me, or make me feel stressed out, simply are not having the same effect. I’m pleased by this and feel like this is a step forward. But most recently I’ve been confronted with several dead scorpions in my house, which has absolutely terrified me. I’m wondering if this is something that my Judge Selves are bringing forward as a test to see if this recent mellowness, calmness and lack of stress have really become part of my personality.
MONITOR: We find that your experience of unity and harmony was genuine.
JUDITH: Good.
MONITOR: Your Judge Selves, especially the different aspects of your Astral Judge, found a sense of unity that derives from past experiences in that location.
The experiences of meeting scorpions and other frightening stimuli come from your High Self, who is providing the means of demonstrating reduction of fear. That reduction stems from reduced alienation among all of your Subconscious Selves, and clearer communication among them and the Outer Self.
You, as the Outer Self, are now more realistically oriented to the realities and experiences of your Inner Selves. All of you have worked together to clear away maya, glamours and illusions, and thus you experience the benefits.
JUDITH: So taking the trip and having that experience was a way of giving myself a little boost? That we can create situations which allow us to do some healing, or coming together faster than otherwise?
Scorpion as Symbol of Judge Self
MONITOR: Indeed. You will find there that the symbol of the scorpion may represent the Judge Self. When it appears as a threat, it can be a deadly menace, yet when befriended, when its sting is not able to harm, it becomes a resource.
JUDITH: Was there a particular reason why the scorpion was chosen by my High Self?
MONITOR: Yes. It represents a theme in several past lifetimes. If you wish, you may ask your High Self to give you memories from those lifetimes which will explain that statement.
JUDITH: Thank you very much.
Q3: Multiple Sclerosis and Judge Selves
ANN: Monitor, Bill has Multiple Sclerosis. He had forty-nine entities removed in the Spring. He also had a home of twenty-six mental patients which he previously owned. Was his Judge Self influenced by those clients?
MONITOR: Yes, in the sense that the clients represented, symbolically, the helpless and needy state of Bill’s Judge Selves. His Judge Selves have been unrecognized and unassisted. They remain unassisted by their own choice. They are afraid to receive help from external sources. They are afraid because of their past traumas. In these respects, their situation is appropriately symbolized by those patients. Bill’s High Self placed him into that situation with a sense of true service. That sense of service now needs to be extended to Bill’s Judge Selves.
The conditions of Multiple Sclerosis and other degenerative illnesses are often caused by Judge Self dynamics. They occur as conditions which wear down the personality, immobilizing it and creating the depth of frustration and pain which the Judge Selves experience. Thus, a wise Outer Self, such as Bill, explores that inner connection and releases his Judge Selves from their self-imposed imprisonment.
The entities were not entities but thought forms. The interaction with the patients provided stresses, but did not, in any energetic sense, cause the illness.
ANN: Thank you very much.
Q4: Rebellion of Judge Selves
EVIE: Yes. Your information tonight was really helpful to me to understand why I’m in the position that I’m in, as far as my Judge Self is rebelling, or recoiling, as it were, from higher vibrations. I find this to be a pattern that’s greatly discouraging. I’d reach a really high spiritual point, feeling wonderful and connected, and then, for what I thought was no apparent reason, plummet to the very pits. My mind would be in the gutter, so to speak, leaving me very unhappy. I’m glad to hear that there’s an explanation for it.
My question is, in reference to that, since I’m in the pits right now and experiencing some really negative thoughts, is the Judge Self reaction manifested in some physical ways? Does it attract psychic attack, or have I put myself in this situation? Are there some folks in my workplace, perhaps, that might be attacking me psychically?
Spiritual Chasm Experience
MONITOR: We find that your experience aptly illustrates the experience of those who attempt the spiritual path. In achieving spiritual peak experiences, the reaction of their alienated Judge Selves produces the spiritual chasm experience. Properly understood, the Outer Self may perceive that as a statement of the need of the Judge Selves.
Self-Integration As A Tool
Because psychological concepts have been quite limited in offering the Outer Self access to the Subconscious Mind, especially to its shadowy portions, most people have lacked practical means of befriending Judge Selves. To meet this need, we have introduced the system of Self Integration, which we invite you to consider as a tool. We find that you may use it to alleviate your present situation, which is bitter indeed.
Mental Judge Mental Energy Attack in the Workplace
We find that your Mental Judge Self has antagonized the Mental Judge Self of another person on the staff. The two Judge Selves are engaged in a conflict. They wage their conflict through mental energies. Therefore, your mental body and the mental body of the other person are being buffeted by attacks. The attacks take two forms. The first type of attack is a direct burst of energy similar to physical lightning. The second form involves a type of blanketing effect which shrouds the other person’s mental body in a lower, confusing, negative vibration. It is maintained as a projected belief system intended to produce a state of helplessness, hopelessness and paralysis. You are having the worse end of the battle.
Protection: Divine Radiance, then Golden Light of Grace
The situation may be remedied, first by you, the Outer Self, repeatedly using an effective prayer for protection, which invokes Divine Radiance from and through your High Self. First, protect yourself, then, in the prayer, remove negative energies imposed through attack. Then, pray for the Golden Light of Grace to fill the other person, especially their Mental Judge. In this way, the attack may be eased.
Yet we find that you will be greatly assisted by discussing the situation with your Mental Judge, giving it support which it presently lacks. When it feels supported, it will not be inclined to attack the Mental Judge of the other person. The cessation of aggression will prove beneficial to all concerned. Otherwise, if the aggression continues, physical health problems are likely to result on both parts.
EVIE: Thank you.
Q5: How Can Befriended Judge Selves Assist Us?
JULIE: How can our Judge Selves best assist us, after we have befriended them?
MONITOR: The Mental Judge can assist by adding its powers of discernment to the rest of the personality. The Mental Judge thrives when the Outer Self asks it for advice and assistance in making plans. The Mental Judge may discern the motives and abilities of other people with great shrewdness and provide realistic assessments of what other people may produce.
The Astral Judge will lend emotional support, enthusiasm and energy to accomplish goals.
Qualities of Cooperative Judge Self in Personality
The abilities of both Judge Selves fit together in a complementary fashion. Thus, when both are engaged in a joint project with the rest of the personality, they seek to perform in ways which are advantageous to themselves and to the personality.
Judge Selves are able to bring greater vitality, enjoyment, vividness and drama into a person’s life experience. When they are positively motivated, Judge Selves bring positive drama, not catastrophe. Thus, a person may experience life with greater depth and fulfillment.
We have answered in general terms. Perhaps you have more specific questions.
Q6: Cyclical Emergence of Judge Selves
JUDITH: In the introductory comments that Harvey, the channel, made, he referred back to the work of Carl Jung on the Shadow Self and how it’s taken seventy years for people finally to start recognizing and dealing with it. He also said that there seems to be an upsurgence in our culture, perhaps in worldwide cultures, of Judge Selves acting out. This occurs not only in the entertainment media, but also, it seems to me, in warfare and anything involving competitiveness and the desire to control other people. I wonder if there is a reason why this is coming to the fore now, and if this has been a cyclical pattern in other periods in history. Have there been other eras when a lot of chaos and confusion have been caused by an upsurgence of Shadow Self or Judge Self activity?
MONITOR: Yes. This type of activity is stimulated by the Hierarchy on a cyclical basis. Each time those elements are brought to individual and public attention, greater awareness is focused upon them. With awareness, understanding gains, step by step. These steps of understanding lead individuals and groups to create within themselves a basis for harmony and peace.
Harmony and Peace Require Judge Self Involvement
A true basis for harmony and peace involves the shadow aspects of the personality. Many attempts have been made by individuals and groups to establish harmony and peace in their lives, yet most of those attempts have failed because those involved have not included the shadow aspects.
Accepting and Expressing the Grief of the Judge Selves
One of the most important dynamics to accept, in pursuing the path through the shadow aspect of the personality, involves acceptance of the deep grieving which both Judge Selves experience. This grieving often seems threatening to the Outer Self, who feels overwhelmed by the depth and intensity of the grief.
The grief represents the emotional reaction of both Judge Selves to past trauma. Their reaction needs expression through the personality. The Outer Self may allow the feelings of their grieving and thus give it expression.
Artistic Expression of Judge Selves’ Grief for Freedom
An innovative Outer Self may also give artistic expression to the Judge Selves so they can use the arts as a means to express their grieving. And as their grieving is healed, they may go beyond it in their expression.
Many successful artists have achieved a range of expression which reveals such depth of grief, and through the grief they achieve joy and exultation. Much great art is characterized by these qualities. It represents the journey through darkness, through “the valley of the shadow of death,” which leads to Life and freedom. Freedom may be achieved by each Judge Self inasmuch as it is willing to face and heal its grief.
Connecting with Higher Consciousness
Once it has passed that significant step, a Judge Self may then be open to re-establish connection with Higher Consciousness. The glamour and illusion clearing procedures that we have given encourage Judge Selves to connect with their Soul. Using that procedure, they bring the Light of the Soul into and through their beings, sharing it with the rest of the personality.
Deva Substance
As the personality clears and stabilizes with a higher order of vibration, the Soul Light brought through the Judge Selves radiates beyond the personality into the deva substance of the planet. Judge Selves are devic beings and therefore, when they are sufficiently cleared and altruistically motivated, may act as superior communicators with the devas of nature.
Personalities, who are called in service by the Hierarchy to act as intermediaries between human and devic kingdoms, are placed in a position of transforming their Judge Selves who; may communicate with the devas of earth, water, air and fire to bring about more harmonious conditions in the natural environment. In years to come, these abilities will be intentionally stimulated by the Hierarchy. They will prove invaluable in saving human lives and natural resources.
Waco Incident
DONNA: Monitor, I was wondering, were the Judge Selves involved in both sides in the recent Waco tragedy?
MONITOR: Yes. We have previously commented on the karmic situation involved, where groups who did battle during the time of the Persian Empire returned with an opportunity to heal old wounds and find solutions other than battle. Unfortunately, the Judge Selves of those involved in leadership and subordinate positions were sufficiently fearful that they chose attack rather than resolution of conflict.
The Mental Judge of the leader, Koresh, was a central figure in that drama. The Mental Judge had promoted the illusion in that personality, and to the personalities surrounding it, that it had direct communication with God, the Creator. In truth, it did not, no more than any being. That illusion led to a series of deceptions and manipulations. The deceptions and manipulations caused by that personality only reflected what already occurred within it.
All involved in the situation will most likely undergo separate paths of learning and will be required in a future lifetime to gather again and face another opportunity for learning.
Exercise: Artistic Expression by the Judge Selves
We conclude by suggesting an assignment for those interested. We have previously suggested the use of non-verbal artistic means of expression for Mental and Astral Judge Selves.
We encourage you to use the same procedure, but this time invite both Mental and Astral Judge Selves to collaborate in artistic expression. They may choose to draw or paint together. They may play; or dance together. They may arrange a costume together. Whatever their means of expression, whether in music, art or speech, they are encouraged to express collaboratively.
Once they have completed their artistic expression, ask them how they feel about it and ask them to seek each other out for further collaboration in daily life.
Closing Comments
We conclude our survey of this profound subject by encouraging each one to befriend their Judge Selves and ask them open-ended questions which give the Judge Selves opportunity to express what is deep within them. If that expression brings great sadness, please accept it and assist your Judge Selves to move through it with their acceptance. Their sadness will transform into freedom, Love and joy. In this way, considerable clearing of chakras and bodies may be accomplished, and you will find that you have gained the company of lively, wise companions in your journey towards spiritual wholeness.
We ask you to consider next month’s topic, which involves discussion of the Body Self. If you wish, ask each of your Judge Selves to give their impressions of the Body Self. Ask them to tell you how they care for it. This will prove of value to share in the beginning of that session.
We appreciate your assistance in moving through the changing conditions of the channels [moving from Paradise Valley to Sedona, Arizona]. We are pleased to continue our sharing. We bless each one, and we leave you now.
GROUP: Thank you Monitor.
